Syracuse, NY – December 15, 2023
Syracuse is set to host the 2024 Maker Faire on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 10 am to 4 pm, at the Horticulture Building on the New York State Fairgrounds. The Maker Faire is a celebration of diverse talents, featuring a spectrum of makers ranging from engineers and artists to scientists and crafters. It provides a platform for local creators to showcase their projects, fostering a sense of community and sharing.
With attendance and participation skyrocketing from 1700 to 2200 in just two years, Maker Faire Syracuse has outgrown its previous space. The event is now thrilled to call the New York State Fairgrounds home, offering more room and ample parking for attendees, including indoor bike parking!
Excitement surrounds the news that the Technology Alliance of Central New York (TACNY) has taken on the role of the event’s host organization, joining forces with presenting sponsor MAKE: Community. Together, they are committed to delivering an interactive STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) experience for the third consecutive year in Central New York.
Join returning favorites like the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science & Technology (MOST) and newcomers like the Erie Canal Museum, showcasing everything from traditional arts & crafts to cutting-edge creations.
