Syracuse, NY – December 9, 2024
Syracuse is set to host the fourth annual Maker Faire on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 10 am to 5 pm, at the Horticulture Building on the New York State Fairgrounds. The Maker Faire is a vibrant celebration of creativity and innovation, featuring a diverse array of makers—from engineers and artists to scientists and crafters. This dynamic event fosters community and inspires discovery by giving local creators a platform to showcase their remarkable projects.
With attendance and participation surging from 1,700 to over 2,900 in just three years, Maker Faire Syracuse continues to grow and thrive. Based on attendee feedback indicating that over 60% of visitors spend three or more hours exploring the event, the 2025 Faire will extend its hours, running an additional hour until 5 pm. The spacious venue at the New York State Fairgrounds ensures plenty of room for exploration, convenient parking (including indoor bike parking) and an expanded lineup of exhibitors and activities.
This year, Maker Faire Syracuse is proud to welcome back returning favorites like the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science & Technology (MOST) while introducing new groups such as the Ghostbusters of CNY Group, who promise to bring a supernatural flair to the event. From traditional arts and crafts to cutting-edge tech, the Maker Faire is an inspiring experience for attendees of all ages.
The Technology Alliance of Central New York (TACNY) continues to lead as the host organization along with the same presenting sponsor MAKE: Community to deliver an unforgettable STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) experience. For the fourth consecutive year, the Maker Faire Syracuse is sparking innovation and creativity in Central New York.
