Syracuse, NY – December 4, 2025
Maker Faire Syracuse returns in 2026 with more space, more makers, and more to explore! Join us on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 10 AM to 5 PM at our exciting new location: the Center of Progress Building at the New York State Fairgrounds.
As the region’s largest celebration of creativity, curiosity, and innovation, Maker Faire Syracuse brings together engineers, artists, technologists, scientists, crafters, and educators for a hands-on, family-friendly showcase of invention and imagination.
After several years of remarkable growth, Maker Faire Syracuse has officially outgrown its home in the Horticulture Building. For 2026, we’re expanding into the spacious Center of Progress Building, giving makers and attendees more room to exhibit, explore, and engage.
This move reflects our rapidly growing community and responds to enthusiastic attendee feedback—over 60% of visitors spend 3+ hours at the event, and we’re thrilled to provide an even better experience with expanded floor space and STEAM activities.
The Technology Alliance of Central New York (TACNY) continues to serve as the host organization and MAKE: Community continues to be our presenting sponsor, the national force behind Maker Faires around the world. Together, they bring you a fifth year of STEAM-powered wonder, rooted in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.
Expect a packed day of hands-on activities, live demonstrations, workshops, and exhibits that span everything from robotics to fiber arts, 3D printing to traditional woodworking, and everything in between. Beloved exhibitors like the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science & Technology (MOST) and the Everson Museum of Art return, alongside exciting new makers and groups that represent the spirit of innovation across Central New York.
Whether you’re a seasoned maker, a curious newcomer, or simply looking for a day of inspiration and fun, Maker Faire Syracuse 2026 invites you to be part of a growing movement where ideas take shape—and creativity knows no limits.
