Mega Bubble Man

Fun & Games
Mega Bubble Man is returning to Maker Faire Syracuse, and this year kids get to create all the bubble magic themselves! Families can build their own bubble wands, make giant floating bubbles, stretch bubble domes into amazing shapes, and learn fun hand-bubbling skills using just soap, teamwork, and imagination. Andrew Lohm, Mega Bubble Man’s trusted assistant, will be helping kids at each station, and Maddie Z, our newest bubble helper, may join in with her creativity and energy. Get ready for hands-on discovery, joyful learning, and a super bubbly day your family will absolutely love. Syracuse Maker Faire!

Mega Bubble Man Productions

Mega Bubble Man Productions includes a bubblicious team of Jim Livi, owner and founder, Andrew Lohm and Maddie Z. The productions started in 1994, so over 30 years of bubbling and thrilling families! Each member can make hand bubbles to super bodacious bubbles 10' feet in diameter and 15 feet high! From smoked filled bubbles to glowing bubbles, bubbles stretch 15 feet and more, we have the greatest joy in teaching families how to do the same! That's our trademark! When the bubbles are around...we turn the frowns upside down!

What inspired you to make this project?
Mega Bubble Man Productions was inspired by a simple idea: joy grows when it’s shared. What started as a small bubble experiment in 1994 turned into a 30-year adventure of teaching families how to create giant bubbles, hand bubbles, bubble domes, glowing bubbles, and more. We discovered that bubbles connect people—kids, parents, grandparents—and turn curiosity into creativity. Our project exists to spark wonder, encourage hands-on learning, and make families smile together.

What are some of the challenges you have encountered and how did you address them?
One of our biggest challenges has been creating bubble solutions and tools that work in all kinds of weather—heat, cold, wind, and even the surprise “Maker Faire breeze.” We solved this through years of testing, adjusting formulas, and designing tougher, more flexible bubble wands. Another challenge was teaching kids and families how to make giant bubbles without getting frustrated. We fixed this by creating simple steps, hands-on stations, and friendly one-on-one help so everyone can succeed. Every challenge pushed us to make bubbling easier, stronger, and more fun for families.
